Deshpande Foundation is providing a path to socially minded people who all want to make changes in Hubli and Dharwad.
The Champions Program is a unique opportunity for young, local professionals to engage in social justice issues, build leadership capabilities and network with leaders of diverse backgrounds in Hubli and Dharwad. This program is an interactive, applied learning experience that aims to foster a generation of successful and concerned local leaders.
A day within the program will have exposure visits, conversations with sector leaders, discussions with peers on specific topics, all of which will build perspectives on a particular sector. Participants will be exposed to existing best practices as seen in outstanding social enterprises and innovations. Moreover, each participant will broaden his/her perspective on social justice and will develop a working knowledge of leading social change models. The program will leverage each Champion’s existing knowledge and the expertise of leaders to facilitate debate and discussions.

Guidelines
- One Sunday every month, a group of people will gather together to visit NGOs who all are working in different sectors like Health, Agriculture, Education and Livelihoods.
- Champions are submitting capstone projects after they complete 6 months in the program.
- Dedication towards attending all the site visits and doing capstone projects after completion of 6 months.
