On Sunday, 19th September, 2010 DCSE Champions participated in a social entrepreneurship site visit from 10 am to 5 pm at Deshpande Foundation. Five young entrepreneurs shared about their enterprises.
1.Miss Sharavani launched and runs Safe Hands 24x7. She provides housekeeping and security employment opportunities to low-income women.
2.Mr. Sikander is an entrepreneur in the field of rainwater harvesting. His organization is called Sankalpa Rural Development Society (SRDS). He wants to create awareness regarding the importance of rainwater harvesting and implement rainwater harvesting models in society.
3. Mr. Avinash, Miss Laxmi, and Miss Anita will soon launch their own enterprises. Mr. Avinash will open a dog business, Miss Laxmi will run a canteen, and Miss Anita will launch a flower business.
This is the last visit for the 2nd batch. Now they are planning to do capstone projects by 28th October.
