Livelihood Visit To Haveri

We (Champions) visited Haveri on 27th of March to see organizations working to improve the livelihoods of people. We could visit three such NGOs named I Create, Hand in Hand and Navachetana Foundation operating in Haveri. The day started with the presentation by Mr. Naveen Jha about Livelihood in the Sandbox at 7:30 AM.

I create: I create is creating grassroots entrepreneurs and gives training for them to start their enterprise. They are creating opportunities for women and men in rural and semi urban. The reason be hand this project stopping migrate from the villages.





Hand In Hand: Hand In Hand organization’s main aim is creating enterprises and jobs through self help groups. It is a good opportunity for low income people to start up their own businesses in the local area.

Navachetana: They shared information about milk quality and their service and also shown their dairy who they are supplying milk to customers.

Navachetana is Microfinance organization. Its non-banking finance company and its giving services that extends micro-loans to poor women who are excluded from mainstream banking services. The micro-enterprises created as a result of NMSPL loans enhance not only the livelihoods of borrowers, but also the lives of their families.
